Burial Mass was led by Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in Rushoroza cathedral. In his homily, the Vicar General Kabale Diocese, Msgr. John Vianney Sunday described Paschal as a man who loved God and had special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, altar linens and altar cloths. He donated very many statues of Mary to many individuals, institutions and churches. As we celebrate the life of Mr. Paschal, he implored the mourners to measure the quantity of their faith. Mr. Paschal set an example that his faith was measured to the full.  He did apostolate and would bring people closer to Mary.

“The work which God gave paschal to accomplish in this world, he did faithfully. He was a prayerful man, had special devotion to Mary and was always close to her. We believe that as Mary promised to those who faithfully devote themselves to her, he merited heaved.” We should celebrate that he has gone as an honorary man, a man of faith.”

Among the institutions that received Rwakahanda’s donation include St. Paul’s National Major Seminary Kinyamasika in Fort Portal Diocese in 2012, Radio Maria Uganda – Mbarara, St. Mary’s College Rushoroza, Immaculate Heart Girls Nyakibale, many churches in Kabale Diocese and beyond. Mr. Paschal Rwakahanda was laid to rest in his ancestral home in Rwabirundo – Kazigizigi, in Kahama Hiika, Rushoroza Cathedral parish.

Paschal Rwakahanda married his wife Mrs. Rwakahanda Emily on 1st January 1972 and they celebrated golden jubilee last year in Rushoroza cathedral. They had together 6 children and over 20 grandchildren. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
