St. Francis Kyanamira Parish was created on August 10, 2025 by Bishop Callist Rubaramira, becoming the 42nd parish in Kabale Dicoese. The Parish was entrucsted to the care of the Missionaries of Africa and placed under the padtronage of St. Francis of Assisi, whose feast day on celebrated on October 4.
St. Francis Kyanamira Parish has 17 out stations (hiikas) spread out in three Greater Centres (Kyanamira, Muyumbu and Kacuro).
