Macro Hardware has today donated 15 metallic compound seats to St. Ignatius University Kabale (IGUKA). The donation was delivered by Mr. Joram Bwambale, Proprietor of Macro Hardware and Macro Engineering Services, who emphasized the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community support.
At Macro Hardware we believe it is our responsibility to give back to society, especially to developing institutions like IGUKA that are shaping the future of our youth – Joram Bwambale.
Mr. Joram said that the cost of installing the metallic seats in the compound is to be met by Macro Hardware and the total cost of seats with its installation is valued at 6 million shillings. He said it was in order to give back to the community and partner with St. Ignatius University to see that it grows to greater heights and used the opportunity to appeal to other business and corporate bodies to give back to the community especially supporting a young St. Ignatius University Kabale to realize her dream, since communities and institutions are their customers who provide their market for their products.
The donation is part of a broader partnership that exists between Macro Hardware and St. Ignatius University. Mr. Joram assured the University community that Macro Hardware will also deliver a complete sports uniform set including jerseys, shorts, socks, shoes and a coach’s kit to the University on November 30, 2025 in order to boost the sporting life of the students.
The Vice Chancellor of St. Ignatius University, Prof. Maximiano Ngabirano received the seats on behalf of the University and expressed gratitude to Macro Hardware for their generosity, noting that the new compound seats will provide students with a more conducive environment for discussion and relaxation but also innovation.
The compound seats directly address a challenge we have faced for some time. They will enhance the learning atmosphere and foster greater interaction among our students -Prof. Maximiano Ngabirano, V.C.
Prof. Ngabirano also noted that the sports equipment will help St. Ignatius University students participate in the inter-university sports competitions. The sports equipment will also boosts the university’s sports programme and encourage teamwork on campus.
